When submitting records for dependent visas, European residency, or school admissions abroad, the computerized certificate must carry federal MOFA certification or embassy legalisation.

Municipal registry issuance and NADRA computerised format standards
- Ensure the birth is reported to the Union Council or municipal authority using the official hospital birth notification or institutional discharge summary.
- Submit the parent CNICs and municipal registration slip at a NADRA centre to generate the computerized Birth Registration Certificate or B-Form.
- Verify that all English and Urdu spelling of names, dates of birth, and parent CNIC numbers match across the national identity system.

- Spelling corrections or date amendments require filing an application at the issuing Union Council with supporting hospital records and parent identity proofs.
- Corrections on the NADRA database must precede any MOFA attestation because attested certificates cannot be altered.
Central NADRA registration required; Manual or unverified Union Council slips cannot be attested. Ensure the civil record is entered in the NADRA national database before filing for MOFA attestation.

Civil Registration Certificate Retrieval

NADRA issues computerised certificates directly from its central database for records it holds, including the B-Form (Child Registration Certificate) for minors under 18, the Family Registration Certificate (FRC) listing the whole household, and death certificates for NADRA-registered deaths. Each carries a unique registration number that government offices and embassies can verify online.
